A doggy soup kitchen has opened up in Berlin. Amid the world's financial turmoil, the occurrence of homelessness has doubled. This shelter provides a free meal to pets of homeless or unemployed families. The director of the shelter states that in many cases, the owners will go without a meal just to be able to feed their pets. Being an animal lover myself, this article really struck me as an example of the true human spirit. Goodness and survival are in our core. Things may be tough out there, but somehow we always ban together to get through the hard times. After all, what other choice to we have?
