Isaac Mizrahi Waves ByeBye to Target

There he is, the man who made the term "fast fashion" synonymous with the word "designer." When Isaac Mizrahi signed with Target, many were appalled while others thrilled.
The fashion industry called him a "sellout", "egocentric", "crazy." Now he is just called, " brilliant."

The long list of designers now collaborating with power retailers is immense. Dana Buchman and Vera Wang for Kohl's, the just announced, Norma Kamali, for Walmart - just to name a few. The concept is a perfect marriage of credibility and marketing.

Isaac will be moving on to Liz Claiborne - hoping to revive it's 1980's popularity. Best of luck Isaac. Maybe you can work on bringing back jelly shoes and parachute pants while you are at it.
