Were You a Little Girl of the 70's

FLASHBACK

For those of us who were little girls in the 70's, we must live with the horror of knowing that somewhere, in the family photo collection, pictures exist with us wearing rainbow t-shirts, Dallas Cowboy cheerleader costumes, and plaid jumpers.

While the adults of the America got to wear fabulous Halston dresses and Designer Jeans, we got stuck with the Little House on the Prairie goes psychodelic look.

Below is a list of stuff that you probably remember if you were a little girl in the 70's.

1) You wore that Rainbow shirt that was half-sleeved

2) You owned a bicycle with a banana seat

3) You thought that Doc from Love Boat cold actually get women

4) You owned tennis shoe roller skates

5) You wore Moon Boots which advanced to Duck Shoes in the 80's

6) You wore the Dorothy Hamill cut. Your mom wouldn't let you have "wings" like Farrah Fawcett because it was too grown-up (slutty)

7) You wore Gauchos (the horror!)

8) You had a Lemon Twist

9) You would stand with your back to the mirror and shake your butt like the dancers in the closing credits of Solid Gold

10) You had homemade ribbon barrettes in every imaginable color

11) Doctor Scholl's sandals were the rage

12) You wore the Laura Ingle's inspired shirt that had ruffles and a high neck

13) You hated Nellie Olson

14) You had the Magic 8-ball that would ask, Who will you marry? Shawn Cassidy, Leif Garret, or Donny Osmond

15) Remember Shrinky-Dinks

16) Just Blume books taught you about "girl things"

17) Pin-ups of Tiger Beat and Dynamite covered your walls

18) You watched the "made for TV movie" The Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, over and over on the VCR

19) You pulled your skin tight Gloria Vanderbilt jeans up as far as you could, laid on your bed, and finished zipping them up with a coat hanger.

20) You did those boob pumping exercises that were supposed to make your boobs bigger
